I everyone I hope to open a New Shard on my Dell R630 that I bought a while back and have just had sitting around. Will need to upgrade it with more ram and storage. right now it has 2 1.2TB harddrive in raid with 64gb of ram. I also have 1gb fiber. My brother and I use to play UO when UOgateway was around. Looking forward to reading the forums and find great people to work with.

You may want to use SSD/NVME if it feels slow, although if you have some faster SAS in there, you should be alright for a bit.

For ServUO, you are probably more than OK with 64G RAM.

SATA SSDs are cheap, but if you want NVME, the board supports bifircuation so it is possible. You can check this reddit thread of someone who did it:

Good evening, my shard is running with this configuration and a similar internet, low ping, around 9 to 15. and my SSD is 256gb for now and it's very good, my shard is quite decorated and personalized. more than 40 complete dungeons and almost all facets released. Don't worry, there will be plenty of servers there for now.
