Many of the voting sites you can find for UO are actually fake. They are run by the owner of UO Evolution to funnel people to his pay-to-win shard

Not really. For the most attention...going on the Ultima Online Reddit would get the most views. I think folks try to avoid that avenue...since the audience there can be equally cutthroat and critical of whoever posts a shard. I tend to see shards with new art, mechanics, and overall original ideas get praise...while others that just throw up a ServUO default server...with a few publicly used script package addons from here...get the brunt of the negativity.
