    Generally I never had problems across a home network of PC's. Your game server will use your Internet IP for others to connect on, you'll have that Internet port open so players can. The game server will have an address of 127.0.0.1 of it's own and probably an internal network address as well...

    Lineage 2 Yeah I looked into messing with that emulator as well back then. Source code was in visual Java tho. Downside to the whole thing for me was the client encryption as I wanted to stay up to date all the time, client did some funky online checks as you used it, you could get it working...

    Lol... Wood fgs lol... must have thought wood was ya olde style... oh hold on... me being lazy (hated making anything with GFX like web pages) lol, still gave me a chukle to myself ;) UOLauncher was Jeff's creation, short lived version while he sorted ConnectUO out I think. Was handy tho ;)

    The other killer for me was the introduction of all the colours, I used to hate it lol. Neon this and Neon that, at least on my own shard I had some degree of control about colours that players could get there hands on ;) I remember always being happy with my own shard if I got more than 3...

    By now you'd think they would just go for free to play considering whats out there now, newer games newer graphics etc etc. I returned to Europa shard and have only 1 account now for a look, I even considered the expansion upgrades as well just to bring it all up to date... until in total it...

    Thanks for that, I'm trying to revive my UO server and have managed to find a lot of the old things I had. Actually found the Stargate stuff as well as a lot of other things as well, if I can get the time I may repost into the script release section... watch this space ;)

    Just wondering what's the latest connection and patching apps or tools for UO now. Might bring my shard online but I want to be able to have people auto patch etc when I do updates or map tweaks, something like the days of UOGateway or ConnectUO type apps ????

    Yup... ping time was on my mind too ;) I realise things like this effect peoples game play etc so thought I'd maybe throw another server up over this side of the pond for all the UK folk that might be looking for a new home.

Checked the shard list on the forums and found just 1 or 2 as I was thinking about returning mine to full time online. I know people still keep saying oh noooo's UO's dead.... HA...
