Admin no longer staff on death?

I wanted to kill myself to check on the backpack situation and after making myself mortal and then it resses me, I am no longer staff and have no command powers and I am the shard owner.
Thoughts?

It should have auto-made you staff again. If not then just go edit your account and make it owner again

Don't make yourself mortal. Give yourself a StaffOrb, so that after you use it to become a player you can use it again to switch back to Owner. To get that character's Owner status back, you will need to log in with another character on that account, and use the Admin menu to alter the props of the first character.

Thanks guys. It just seems that would be a bug. Mortal should not change my owner status, or death rather
