Any suggestions for starting / finding a specific UO private server for someone with no experience.

So I wanted to make a private UO server for me and my friend ( possibly 1 or 2 others ) down the line that is UO circa 2000-2002 era. We liked that era and wanted to revisit it for nostalgia but I find a hard time finding a server that has that ruleset without being so radically changed its not even the same game. I thought about trying to create my own but I have no coding and scripting experience so I just failed miserably. Any advice? Should I just give up the dream? Can anyone help? Or maybe you know of a private server I overlooked. Thanks in advance!

If anyone is looking for a decent free shard that just recently started, the Syndicate Online Group has built a shard called " Return to UO" . It is a UO renaissance era shard with trammel and felucca, 3 times the resources and loot in Felucca. link in their Return to UO discord...

You can check that server. It's essentialy UO Renaissance. If you wanted to create a more modern era server, it would be fairly straightforward, but setting up one so old is harder for someone with no coding experience

Unchained is great but I just felt like my dexxer kept getting smashed after I grew out of the starter dungeon. Maybe I've just been away too long so I'm a total noob. Maybe I'll come back and try again in the future. I wish I could find an offline server that had all the sweet skill mastery stuff Unchained has so I could just live out a power fantasy clearing everything Really awesome shard!
