I want to play around with Dragon mod and create a custom map. I've been trying to find a way to get a BMP height map of britannia that dragonmod can use, and modify the land where I please. Can't seem to figure out how. I tried this here:

https://www.servuo.com/threads/c-decompiling-a-mul-to-a-bmp-file.3198/

but I just get a big grey image.

Is there any way to do this? Or does anyone have a bmp of brit for use in dragon mod?

Thanks

It is important to realize the basics. Map2Bmp.exe is an application designed for UO Landscaper. This set of programs works with terrain and elevation images separately. DragonMod uses its height in the basic range of colors and thus uses only one image. It also has a different color gamut than UO Landscaper. The use is then the same for both versions of the programs. You must have a map-sized image in pixels. And he then generates a dragon or landscaper to map0-5.mul. For uop, you then wrap it up with some uop archiver.
