Creating custom currency

Hello everyone- Thank you in advance for your time. I am trying to create custom currency, items that vendors will take in place of gold. I have searched the forum high and low, and the closest thing i have found so far is this post:

Granted, this is helpful, but it does not point me in the direction i need to go in order to have the vendors accept this new currency. Can someone give me an idea of where i need to look? Again, thank you for your time. It's been quite a while since i was involved in uo, and I'm trying to work my way back in.

Install this. You can use anything as currency then.

Tried to get this to work with no luck. I copy and pasted it into my servuo master folder and recompiled and the commands do not work in game. Any ideas?

Got it running, it will not display the jewel view, says invalid display.
