[FIXED] Save folder gets deleted

Saves folder gets deleted and it ask me to make a owner account.

Basically it wipes the last save, ive seen some threads about this issue, no fix yet


It sounds like a folder privilege issue? it happens randomly

ServUO ran as Admin or not?

Which ServUO Version?

Windows 7 it also happened on windows 10

Im running Runuo 2.2

And not running it as an admin.


Ive been developing the server for few years, never ran into this issue. Until i deceide to put the server online.

Maybe it has to do with copy and paste the server folder into a different computer?

Try run it as admin.

Could it be your anti virus? Sometimes older systems see it getting written to and delete it.

Thats what i thought yes, i added it to exceptions, some antivirus are intrusive. I will keep running the shard to see if it still happening, thanks guys.


I think i should install microsoft security essentials and avoid 3rd party software

I can't imagine why else it would just delete.

What is the antivirus you are using?

It happened with comodo

Edit. it clearly was the antivirus, removed it and the issue went away
