Hello everyone,
Most of you would have seen me around runuo forums for a few years now.
My name is James and Runuo had been a hobby of mine for awhile now.
Once you get UO in the blood it never seems to go away I think.
For a few years I have played around with a private server nothing big or open
to the public just something for me and a few friends/family to play on.
I am not a scripter or coder but just a peck and poke at other scripts to see if I can
do small things or edits I needed.
I was away from the community for awhile and just recently came back and learned of the end of Runuo which saddened me. But just found out about playuo and serveuo and happy to see many familiar faces I got used to over the years are still hard at it.s to
I have new goals now and that is to finally learn to script and code myself.
Very scary thought but Hopefully I can see it though.
Anyone who would like to give any advice on a good way to learn enough to primarily do runuo scripting I would be very happy for the advice. I am confused where to start buy a few books? take some online courses? Does learning C versions and ways of coding today apply to the way UO scripts are set up it is an aging system and a friend looked at a few scripts and said it was way old school the way they are written these days so I am confused where to start learn the way scripts was written in 1997 or learn new stuff today.
I really am very serious about trying to learn so anyone who wants to friend me or catch me on here and help me out or post any pointers or starting places I would appreciate very much.

ServUO would be Runuo but with more content added as complete ML along with SA, PlayUO is after Runuo/ServUO not sure what they have added with this. Runuo no longer updates plus it never contain complete ML, hope this helps some!
