You could place walls and floor tiles & hue them "1" other than that, i think it requires a map edit.

I have no prior experience with making map edits. Are they generally considered difficult? Additionally, are there any third-party apps that are necessary for making map edits?

If you edit the map, you will have to distribute the new map to every player on your server. Map editing software like UO CentrED.. i think there is another, but dont remember the names.. if you have no prior experience it can be difficult.

Okay, well I guess I can mess around with the programs and see what I can do. There are quite a few spots that need to be refabricated. I'm using a really old client so its pretty buggy.
