Issue with the Servuo zip file

So I downloaded ServUO, Theres quite a bit of errors. For one, The zip file I downloaded apparently doesnt come with a servuo.exe file... I did not download it from a 3rd party i of course downloaded straight from servuo site. Then ontop of that, when I try to complile with Win, I get errors there as well

I wanted to try something other than RunUO, mainly because I know its pretty much obsolete now.
Want to start my own server but at this rate doesnt seem like thats going to happen Think maybe someone could give me a hand? Possibly a link to download the FULL ServUO Zip file Directly? Would be great, thank you guys.

You need to compile the core yourself. Are you using the latest SVN? A fresh install of the latest SVN works fine.

I would also recommend WinRar to unzip stuff over zip.

Make sure every file is extracted and run Compile.WIN.bat. There is a tutorial on how to get started here: https://www.servuo.com/tutorials/getting-started-with-servuo.2/

I highly suggest you subscribe to the downstream though using git in order to get updates as we release them in an automatic way.

After These 2 steps it wants me to press any key to run the exe, after i do that the cmd prompt closes and nothing after that.....

These files are completely unzipped as well. Like I said, I have run the Compile.Win.Batch file, I followed its instructions. The above screen shots are the errors I get when trying to do this. Theres one thing, I have not tried yet. That would be set the file to run as administrator. Other than that, I am 100% clueless.

Running program as administrator did not work. :/

Pro tip.

You can left click the top left corner of the cmd window click Edit > Select All, Edit > Copy. Then paste all the text from the cmd window onto the forums. There's no need to post a image that takes up much more space.

Second. When you're viewing files in file explorer. Ctrl+A then Shift+Right click, Copy as Path. Then you can paste all the files located in that folder directly to the forums.

So I guess now would be the best time to ask why the server possibly is rejecting my changes to the scripts? Such as setting expansion to UOR as well as changing server name. Still comes up as My Shard, I changed all this before I compiled as well

Far as I can TELL the other stuff changed. Starting city is Fel, The Sweet Dreams Inn. ETC, no young status.

Look in the Config directory. We are externalizing a lot of these things into configuration files. You set the expansion in Expansion.cfg and the server name in Server.cfg. A good rule of thumb is don't change code if you don't know what it's doing

Your Absolutely right! This is all just new to me. Im not gonna be changing too much more in the scripts and cfg files anyways. actually no I cant say that. Now I think about it, a long term server i'll prolly be changing EVERYTHING haha. I just need to forget what ive learned about runuo. I appreciate the help. Prolly gonna have more questions in the future. If you guys would prefer me to ask them in another part of the forums, please let me know again thank you all for the help! I like the emulator a lot.

If you plan to run a long-term shard I highly recommend you learn to use Git to pull the code from GitHub. This will allow you to get updates from ServUO and automatically integrate those with your own changes instead of having to manually re-insert all of your changes. Thanks bud, read a lot of it. Where as im a newb to using servers and codes and stuff seems like thats gonna be tough for me to pick up at first. We will see tho. maybe it'll be easier once i start doing it. Again I appreciate every ones help!

Heres one last thing i could use a littl help with. Dont have access to my router, but i Know the program No-Ip atleast used to forward connections to my ip without any forwarding needed to be done. Possibly some help on how to set that up again? Im sure one of you have used that program atleast once in ur life time haha
