Modifying .mul files

Hi,

I'd like to use CentrEd+ to make custom maps. However, from what I understand, I have to modify the .mul files, which are client side. How do I distribute the new .mul files. Do I use a patching program? If so, what program do I use and how do I patch an installation?

Hey TwilightRaven,

you can use UOFiddler to modify the .mul files. Another programm ist mulpatcher.
Do you like to draw a new map?

In reference to patching the installation, you don't use a program. You offer your files as a download, you can compress them into a zip file. Once your player downloads the files they then unpackage them and drag and drop them into the client folder on their computer.

@Valorian: I want to merge the floating city mul posted on this site, and possibly modify some of the maps on my own. What does mulpatcher do? And are UOFiddler and Mulpatcher compatible with the uop files?
