my server is running but enemies don't damage me

Hi all,

Sorry if this is not the right forum area. Newbie to UO, got my server running ok and all. My character is running around and killing things, but receiving no damage from enemies. Is this because I am using the owner account? Is there a setting to change this, or do I need to make another non-owner account so I can play a normal character? Thanks for any help :)
 
Thanks for your replies! I'm logging in via the enhanced client. I tried the [immortal command, which changed the color of my Hp bar, so I think that is not the issue, I then changed back with [mortal.

What does staff char refer to? Like a gamemaster type character? I am using the owner account, although this is the second character I've made under this account. I was thinking, maybe I need to make a separate account to play as a normal person?
 
You will need a separate account. You can use the StaffOrb to temporarily become a player, but a second account is preferred for the long term.
 
An update in case anyone else experiences this, I just needed to make another account and play from there. Works great now.
