Endless Journey
I Last ran a shard 10 years ago and that was on RunUO So please forgive my questions that seem to be stupid to a more upto date and experienced Player / Admin.

When last I Played if your Pet was bonded you could log out in a home that you owned with your pet and it would be there when you logged back in a day or so later.

In my current shard, servuo 57, A Player had a pack horse that was bonded, He logged with his horse in a home that he owned, and when he came back in it was gone along with all that was on it.

I can only assume it went wild. Is there a place in any script where i can change this, or have i simply done something wrong?

Is there a better or another solution to this problem? It may be note worthy that The shard i am running now is very small with only three players and probably wont grow much more.

Did they check the stable, iirc, the pets auto stable on player login while in house?
I just checked the stables and no option for claim pet came up , so i am guessing the answer is no.
I Just tested, logged in a player and had him buy two horses. He logged out and the horse that was with him also vanished. (had my admin also logged in to watch what happened) logged back in and the horse was there. So what ever happened (went wrong) might have been a fluke. I will do further testing to see what happens, but as of now, lets not put too much energy into something that might not even be a real problem. I will be sure to report back my findings after a day of testing further. I am sorry to have waisted your time on this issue that may not have been a real issue. Who knows what the Player did , that maybe caused the problem himself ?

Non-mount, pack animals do not log out when you have items in its pack. They get stabled when you log out, and you cannot stable a pet with stuff in his pack.

so it just vanishes ? I have tested since, but with pack horse that was empty, and it always was there when i log back in. I have to try with stuff on it now. If it has stuff on it, it gets lost ?

I guess it would depend on how long he was gone.

So for with the limited testing i have done, it seems you were right. If things are on the pack mount, all is lost, if empty it shows up upon next log in. In fact all pets show up where ever you log in with you, if you had not stabled them first. Maybe time is an issue as you have indicated, so that will need testing next.

Well, Loss is part of Ultima Online ;) at least nothing is broken! :) makes sure to clear packs before logging out, or in the case of pack mounts, make sure you mount before logging out.
