Restore from backup?

I had a server crash and would like to restore from backup. Does anyone have any idea how to do that? I apologize I am completely new at this. I have automatic backups on, so I see my most recent backup which was from earlier today. I'm just not sure how to actually perform the restore. Any help is appreciated.

Open the most recent backup folder. Copy the contents & paste it into the Saves folder, overwriting everything in there. Or, delete the contents of the Saves folder, then paste the backup files into the folder. Either way works.
