The Dark Tides is looking for a few players. We are opening up our server for some beta testing by a handful of people. We are currently Not a public server. So spots are limited. We currently have a basic website with some screenshots, and a new forum as well. We are still actively updating files So those interested must be willing to deal with the frequency of the updates. Sometimes this happens daily. We also have a daily automatic restart. We are using Custom Maps and Even Custom Music.

Currently there is plenty of content to keep someone busy for quiet awhile. The world is not fully spawned or decorated, hence some of the updates. We have lots of custom items, mobs, and quests. Several Custom systems including a few custom crafting and spell systems. This is not your typical UO. Skill Cap 100/150, Total Stat Cap 250/375. We have a unique status system that determines your skill cap, stat cap, and resistance caps. We do not use powerscrolls or stat scrolls. We have plenty of custom champs, and peerless bosses. A unique background story/history(not fully implemented yet).

It should also be noted that we are looking to increase the number of staff members.

I really think people need to come look at this shard there getting going but, its pretty awesome the way it looks, better check it out, you might be surprised. pleasantly of course! Good Job on it looks Awesome so far.
 
Thanks, We appreciate the kind words. We literally decided today to fully open the server. So the web page does have connection info, and you do not need to contact me personally to sign up anymore. New Players should keep in mind though that there are only two of us staffers right now, so the server is a bit of a ghost town. We also still have a lot of work ahead of us. So patience with us would be greatly appreciated.
 
the Polaris Holiday is one of many holidays in the Dark Tides World. It as well as the other holidays have their own origins/reasons to celebrate. While not much is currently found in the game, we fully intend to develop this as time allows us. It is our philosophy that our players shouldn't miss out on holiday style events because they have chosen to be with family during the holidays. So we created our own for the Dark Tides World. This way people can spend important time with family and still be able to take part in the special annual events.

Below is the Event Schedule for Polaris 2018:

December 21st 7:00pm US Central Standard Time, To be announced and event type will depend on attendance.

December 22nd 11:00pm US Central Standard Time, "The Rat King" Event. Custom Champion Spawn.

December 23rd 10:00am US Central Standard Time, "The Rat King" Event. Custom Champion Spawn.

"The Rat King" is a custom champion spawn geared towards newer players. This will be good for our fledgling server.

December 28th 11:00pm US Central Standard Time, The Main Polaris Event! This will be a player versus monster style event.

All Players who attend one of these events will get some sort of reward at the end of the event.

The Dark Tides Will Be Celebrating an in game Holiday Known as Solaris Beginning June 16th and ends June 23rd with a big event planned for June 22nd.
We are a Custom Maps Server, Using Client 7.0.15.1 and you will need our patch. We Will be Having a giveaway/drawing for several prizes on June 22nd.

The Dark Tides Is preparing to celebrate the in-game holiday known as "The First Rising" April 1st to April 7th. A free holiday gift bag is given to all accounts that are at least 1 day old before the holiday begins. We have loads of customs you won't find anywhere else. Custom Music and Custom Maps as well. We are a growing server that has been around for a little over 2 years now. We have a lot in store for the week of the holiday that allows all people to participate during something. We also will have Holiday monster spawn wandering the world during the week.

As some of you may have known, Dark Tides shut down at the end of May 2022. However we didn't stop working on things. We also plan on returning. Currently we are hoping to be able to relaunch Sometime in August 2024, though there are a lot of things that hinges upon. However, I figured I'd share a collage of screenshots of the product of the last years efforts to see what people think.

This was such a hidden gem shard. I wish more people got to experience it.
