Hi everyone I am remaking my thread in this forum because the old one was closed. This is my ServUO Ultra Modded Single Player project. Just basically my personal shard that me and a few friends play on. I thought I would share, as today I made a big update!

Major Update to version 05!

Changes:
-Added Ultimate Masters Champion spawns! 58 new unique champion spawns each with a variety of minions and a unique boss with unique mechanics! There is a Ultimate Champion for every skill in the game, and defeating the boss will award you with a Powerscroll 200!
-Added Maxxia Scrolls to Bulk Order Deeds and Fishing Quests. Bulk Order deeds are now much more rewarding when banked
-Revamped Lord British Castle, adding many new vendors.
-Fixed a memory leak that was spawning too...

Skills update V51

Today is a large update to many "useless" skills in order to make them more appealing to invest your skill points and equipment slots!

Alchemy:
-Added three new "bombs". The MegaBomb that does damage, the PoisonBomb which does LethalPoison and the Health Bomb which heals and cures poison in a large area. These cost a huge number of reagents to craft and require high level of Alchemy to throw
-Removed the cap of +50% potion improvement. You can now improve potions much more.

Get an extraction error trying to install.

I tried extracting it on my end and it seems to work fine. You might have got a corrupted download. I am using WinRAR if you are using something else it might be the issue.
 
Bedemir in vesper when you click through quest dialogue it causes a server reset.

Tried it 3 times to test.

Let me know if any other info required.

Yeah please go into the server directory and give me the crash report. I can't get this to duplicate on my end, the quest doesn't crash the server.

Though in my testing it seems like the Bedemir escort is broken because I didn't define the throneroom region. I'll have it fixed in the next release. But I would love to know what is crashing your server.

Ah yeah I get it now when I hit continue. It was the same problem though! Thank you for your report.

I have fixed it. Place this file in your Shards_of_Minax\Data\ folder and replace the one that currently exists. it should fix the king Arthor crash and also let you finish the quests:

Enjoying it so far. Will report any more bugs I find.

I do think there is a bug with the parry formula, character will parry most melee attacks even with medium (50-60) parry. Shields are destroyed really fast because of it as well.

Thanks! There is so many moving parts I really need people to report bugs or I'll never find them all haha.

Though I never touched parrying, so that's how its supposed to work? Maybe you are only fighting low skill monsters or something
 
it is definitely out of whack, I have been comparing parry formula between versions I have, nothing so far but I am not the world's greatest at scripting. The BaseShield file is a lot different than the current download.

At 75 parry I can stand there with 5 paragon trolls beating on me and take zero damage until my shield implodes and then I implode. I am parrying 100% of the time.

I buy and eat Royal Skill Charter which raises the cap by 5 each I then have to eat 5 Skill Orbs to allow gains. It works the same for Stat scrolls.

The Royal Skill Charters and orbs seem to wear off/reset after logging out.

I have come to the conclusion that I dont fully understand how the system works, but with skills turned down I no longer gain after a server reset until i eat more Skill Charters/Orbs.

Just confirmed with admin account that Skill Cap is reset on server restart.

Thank you for pointing this out! This is a bug and not the intended behavior, and it was a really weird one to fix. It will work properly in the next release. Unfortunately, the fix will absolutely break your current saves. If you want to keep playing with your current saves you can adjust the caps manually in PlayerCaps.cfg

Version 52 update

I wasn't planning to do another update for a while, but I have accumulated a number of bug fixes, so I thought it made sense to put this out! There is one new feature that is pretty cool:

New Features:
-The Cartography skill has been greatly improved! Added a new item called "Cartographers Scope" which (when double clicked) produces "Scouting Reports". You need to move around to get more reports, you can't just scout the same spot.
-Scouting reports can be used with the Cartography skill...

2 things first I needed to change the data path in config file.

From

C#:
CustomPath=C:\Shards_of_Minax

to

C#:
CustomPath=C:\Shards_of_Minax\Client_Files

and then when it launched it drop an error

Thank you, changing the data path as posted above by Zamok fixed the error for me. Still getting the deserializing error but the server runs!
The parry bug seems to still be happening. Equipping a shield regardless of skill seems to make you invulnerable to physical damage, and parry doesn't raise either.

This is a brand new character on brand new installation:

Its very difficult for me to fix this parrying bug, because I never changed anything about Parrying. When I edit BaseShield it does nothing

Edit: I think I may have fixed it. Swap out this BaseWeapon.cs for the one you already have in Scripts\items\equipment\weapons

Hello! I've tried earlier version of this and now I'm trying to get 0.52 running but i am getting error.
the folder is in the right position. I ran previews 0.2x version without issue.
Please help if you can :)

Hopefully you got the datapath sorted out! Just wanted to mention that I'm nearly done with version 0.6 and it will be a huge update that will break all old save. So maybe wait a bit if you are going to upgrade :)

Hi sorry, I'm new to this. What specific file did you edit? I've checked all the config.* files in the folders and none of them seem to be it.

edit: nvm, I found it. C:\Shards_of_Minax\server_files\Config\DataPath.cfg

-Migrated to more stable version of ServUO 57. I was using a half finished version of ServUO 58, and it was causing some problems. This move should fix many bugs, and also add many features that were missing!
-Custom Castles/Keep as well as Content Castles now work!
-You can now properly trade in Sea loot at Bucs Den
-Installed VitaNex core, this will allow many cool new features in...

Wow what an update! ah few questions, level armor - how do you level it up? Killing while wearing it doesn't seem to work. And the ancient spellbook, awesome looking spells, works off magery?
 
level armor levels only when you do direct damage is my understanding, pets and summoned creatures dont count

Thanks! Yeah the Ancient spells work off of the normal Magery skill.

Thanks for the report! I was able to fix this, the fix will be in the next version but here it is right now.

The Vitanex error is a little more mysterious I will need to dig into that more, but it doesn't seem to be hurting anything at the moment.

Thank you for your hard work on the fix. Actually, I didn't look closely at the console, but there is another log error. This one is an “Attachment”error. Since I'm a beginner, I'm not sure if “Attachment” would have any actual impact on the game, but I still sent it out for feedback.
